Stopped here for a late lunch and weren’t disappointed. A lovely friendly pub with great food, we had the Nasi goreng, tuna sashimi, gyoza and curry. All were well presented and full of flavour, couldn’t fault anything so will definitely be back.

Excellent meal

Sadly we had a dreadful experience. We had booked a table for 10 and had given them our pre orders the day before. We arrived at 7.30, various other people came in after us and they ordered on the night. We waited for an hour and 20 minutes and watched the later diners receive their food before our table. We had to protest to get any service and when the food came out, some dishes were seriously undercooked, cold or served with an alternative side dish to what was ordered.  It totally ruined our birthday celebration. I&apos;m sure the food can be lovely as described by other reviews but sadly I feel that they over book themselves for the staff they have.

Bad experience

The Barking Buck is friendly, warm and welcoming.  The food is out of this world and nothing is too much trouble.  Mark and his wife continue to introduce more dishes to the menu.  With a real fire in the main bar to keep warm in winter, a bright airy conservatory (that is also kept warm during the winter months) with views over the garden and more to come, I’m excited to see what the future holds  Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome. A Hidden Gem

Living locally to the Barking Buck and having heard that it had reopened under new ownership my Partner and I decided to visit it. What a super lunch we had from a very varied menu. The food was superbly cooked and we left saying that we would recommend it to our friends and that we would definitely be returning !!!
